Is there any plans to add chromecast functionality to the videos? I think that feature would benefit a lot of students.

42,016 Pointsyou can cast the videos from your browser using the google cast extension for chrome . It will cast your current tab from your chrome browser to your tv.

10,348 PointsI meant native support. When mirroring tabs the audio/video is often out of sync.

39,199 PointsAt last count, there were less than 20 native apps for Chromecast, it might be a little early in the adaption curve for Treehouse to make a native app.
They would probably want to make a native Android app first.

6,733 Points+1 for the Android app. I am unfortunately doomed to spend my life around Apple people and it doesn't help they get so many apps first.
I was actually folding laundry while casting Treehouse to my Chromecast last night. It is extremely dependent on the speed of your wireless and even more so on the power of the computer casting. My old netbook (Intel Atom dualcore) could barely do it. This laptop (dual core i5) handles it without too much difficulty, and my desktop gaming PC with a quad i5 and Radeon 5850 is pretty much seamless.

14,556 Points+1 For a Chromecast app! I have also been thoroughly enjoying the Android app, it is so damn crisp! I am so used to android apps being rushed and lots of times being nothing more than a glorified in-app-browser type of thing. I am utterly impressed Team Treehouse!

3,587 PointsCasting from your laptop takes up tonnes of memory, especially when casting video's. An app would remove that problem, you would only start the course/video from your device.

Courses Plus Student 21,263 PointsI use VideoCast (VLC/Chromecast) a chrome browser extension to send video over to my chromecast it's not perfect but it better than trying to cast the tab.

1,088 Points+1 for Chromecast native support on mobile apps and the website. I know that is not the top priority, but other competitors (*cough* Lynda.com, Udemy, Pluralsight, Udacity *cough*) have been supporting this handful feature for quite some time, some of them for almost two years, and it would be really appreciated on Treehouse as well.
