Google font link not being validated?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of the "How to Make a Website" tutorital. I'm at the validation process and trying to validate the index.html. My code seems to be the same as Nick's but I'm getting 1 warning upon validation?

It seems to be an error with the google font link, which would have just been copied and pasted:

Error: Bad value http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Changa+One|Open+Sans:400italic,700italic,400,700,800 for attribute href on element link: Illegal character in query: not a URL code point. From line 7, column 5; to line 7, column 142 css">ā†© <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Changa+One|Open+Sans:400italic,700italic,400,700,800' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>ā†© < Syntax of URL: Any URL. For example: /hello, #canvas, or http://example.org/. Characters should be represented in NFC and spaces should be escaped as %20.

I could just ignore it but wondered if someone more experienced can see what the problem is quite easily?

Many thanks

Martin

Hi Martin,

Can you try replacing the pipe (|) in the url with %7C please?

Does that resolve the issue?

Thanks Rich, I thought it might be something like that but wasn't exactly sure which character was the problem - or what to change it to! Thank you. I can move on without my OCD bothering me too much :) Cheers

No problem :)
