Google Places

I have an events blog post page, can i use google place to inform the location of this ?

You can certainly use Google Places to show it on a map (by embedding the location using google maps)

But a tool which I found useful for events is www.eventbrite.com/‎

I used to publicize my event, inform participants as well as keep a track of participants who had already registered.

Hi Manolo, I don't think Google Places is the right tool to accomplish your task. It is intended mainly for local businesses to be correctly geolocalized. You can use Google Maps Maker instead, locating your event address and creating a custom map to embed on your site. It's quite easy to use, and a basic tutorial will start immediately when you open the page for the first time. Hope this helps!
