GraphQL deprecated application

Hi there,

I am following the GraphQL course but I am confused by the fact that part of it is using a deprecated application, Apollo. I have downloaded Insomnia as recommended by my company and would like to practice the queries in the course. Is this possible? If so, what do I follow to connect to the API? The instructions here are confusing.
