I use a different email alias for every site I become a member of, so for me Gravatars don't work for me.
Please allow the option for users to choose Gravatars, or upload direct an avatar directly to Treehouse.
The reason I setup unique aliases, is so no site has my "real" email addresses). In fact I have a few domains with no websites, just email dedicated to this purpose. I do this so I can tell who's "selling" my email address, and can turn off the alias if I start receiving "Get a Free insurance Quote" email, and then complain to the site owner about them violating the "Privacy Policies" they say they adhere to (I've caught several large companies selling email addresses, who later fessed up, after I showed them the probabilities (with math) for a dictionary and/or a character-increment attack to "guess" my alias for them...
Anyway, I'd have to setup over 1000 gravatar accounts if everyone started using gravatar in-lieu of allowing members to upload pics... I understand the appeal of Gravatars, but for me, it's just not worth it... so I'll remain a "Tree Frog" on Treehouse

39,199 PointsI thought it was 1:1
Nope, there's a large blue link when you sign into your gravatar account that says "add a new email".

8,728 PointsI take it back... it's not 1:1, it just takes a few extra steps to add additional email addresses

8,728 Pointsbut it would still totally blow my alias deal if "wordpress" had all of my aliases... the idea is that each site I'm a member of only knows of one alias... technically speaking, wordpress could now send email to or sell my treehouse alias.
