549 PointsGrid Help - I'm New
After following the steps on the 'build a simple website' I am currently on the video 'Working with Grids' in the 'Creating a Website Structure' section. The problem i am facing is when I am setting images to the specific grids they are not setting out right on the Working with grids video { at 4:28 } he adds a grid 4 div class to the logo and when he refreshed his page everything bends round the logo it is different with mine. I have gone over everything thoroughly and my everything exept the logo acts like there is a large margin there. Since i can't add a photo i will copy out a bit of the code.
<body> <div class="container clearfix"> <div class="grid_4"> <img src="img/logo.gif" alt="Smells Like Bakin"> </div> <div class="grid_8 omega">
Sorry its not more indepth but Thanks for any help,Henry.

31,709 PointsFound the problem, its in your html. You need to close the div that contains you menu. You open it on line 14 and it should close on line 21, but instead you've started the div for "Opposites really to attract". That means all the code that follows is actually part of the menu div and is taking up 8 columns like you told it to.

31,709 PointsDoes you background image have an alpha channel? In other words, is the background of the image transparent or is it another color like white or black. If the background of your image isn't transparent it would show the background color of the body.

549 PointsI think it may be transparent, should i find another image and see if it fixes it? thanks for the quick help by the way!

31,709 PointsWithout seeing the image I'm not sure what the problem is, but if you want to email me the image I can take a look at it I photoshop. Shookandrew@yahoo.com

31,709 PointsOK, well I see what you are talking about now, and it has nothing to do with Smells like Bakin' image. This has something to do with the css. I'm taking a look at your html now, but I don't see anything wrong with it. For those who may come across this, Henry is having problems with the "Opposites really do attract" div. By the looks of the image he emailed me, everything below the logo and menu on the smells like bakin' site is aligning to the right of the image under the menu.
