Guidance needed !!

Hey guys im just done with the Web Design foundation course which covered HTML & CSS, i found it easy to follow which shouldnt be an issue for me. However i have an idea for an app which is more related to real time booking based on availability in the particular area for the masses (sorry guys cant disclose a lot). I intend to do it by myself and wanted to know which courses to follow. Im more inclined towards IOS and don't mind hiring an android mobile developer. But will the IOS course be enough of do i need to know php and ruby? Help would be appreciated.

If you want to build a web app i would learn ruby since that's what most web apps use but there is nothing wrong with learning php. In terms of an app i think its best to learn the programming concepts first as it gives you a clearer idea of what you need to do to make your app work i.e. working with databases, mvc etc. If you want to build a web app i would recommend ruby as most of the people i talk this use this to build dynamic web applications :) good luck

Thanks for your reply, the app that i'm very keen on is mainly for mobiles and the web aspect is for those users who don't have much access to mobile phones. Hence my question is more directed towards mobile app point of view. Will ruby help me towards building a mobile app as well? forgive me as i don't have much knowledge in this field. I have no qualms about studying anything as long it helps me make what i have in mind
