h1 stuck on far left of page

<a href="index.html" id="logo">

logo {

text-align:center; margin: 0; } Can't figure out why my h1 header won't center on the webpage. Please help!

If its just centering the header why not this

logo {
  text-align: center;
  }

If your trying to center a block, as in the left and right margin to be equal you could do

logo {
  margin-left: auto;
  margin-right: auto;
  }

You need to use the # sign in front of logo like this,

logo{

text-align: center; margin: 0; }
