Has anybody landed a job in iOS from what they have learned with Treehouse if so how did you go about doing so ?

I was just wondering if anybody has managed to land a position in iOS development maybe as a junior developer with the skills learned with TreeHouse and if so how long were you learning before you were successful and at a stage where you were industry ready ?

Thanks James

Although I don't have a job or had any clients, I have had e-mails asking if I want a job for a company or for a client.

The first e-mail was a job request for a company that wanted me to work as an Objective-C developer.

This is when Swift 2 was available, so this shows a good reason to learn Obj-C if you want a job. The e-mail mentioned that they liked what they saw on my GitHub account, so that would be a good place to start: put projects / libraries / frameworks on GitHub

The reason I didn't qualify was because I am junior and not a senior developer.

The second e-mail was for a company that wanted a quote for how much I would charge for an app like one they had in mind.

Although I didn't get the job, it was encouraging to get an e-mail like that.

I started learning iOS development Aug 18, 2014.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response I thought there would have been a few people on here who may have successfully landed a job as a junior

I recently heard of a website called Upwork. You can sign up as a developer so you can bid on projects. I have not used it, but it is something to look into.

I'm curious about this too, i'm taking the ios development track. As with much of the job market of software developers, I've heard that ios as well as andriod development is really hot right now.
