Isn't this the same thing - or is there a nuance here?

Legibility refers to the typeface used, and the user's ability to clearly read individual words.

Readability is the way the typeface is used in the context of the whole page, making sure there is a distinctive hierarchy between headings, paragraphs, quotes, links, etc.
