Has someone at Treehouse just swiped my card at a grocery store?

I have been an active Treehouse user for the past year. This year since I have some business to deal with in Shanghai and the Internet quality is pretty bad, I had to pause my enrolment starting from Dec 2016. The policy here at Treehouse is that "no amount is charged till you return", and so my account was quiet. No bills went up to my bank account and I was happy.

That is, until now. Today when I logged into my account there was an outstanding authorisation which went:

20 FEB VISA DEBIT AUTHORISATION TREEHOUSE ORLANDO FL Card Used ####

The amount is $33.65, which is not the standard enrolment the pro membership fee. I looked over my past membership transactions to make sure that this is not an error. And it turned out that all my past regular purchases at Treehouse had a standard format:

VISA DEBIT PURCHASE CARD #### TREEHOUSE 8009282130 25.00 USD INC O/S FEE $1.03

This makes the Feb 20 transaction even more suspicious. While I sincerely hope that this is a billing error, this behaviour on behalf of Treehouse remains highly disturbing. I am now considering to cancel my subscription and switch to other more reliable channels.

Moderators, support team, please provide me with an explanation.

Hi Brent,

This is something that you should send in to support. It's not something that moderators or other students could do anything about. You can find a support link in the navigation at the top of the page.
