Has the Treehouse timing changed?

the progress I'm making is not being tracked as it used to do before. Maybe the time schedule for treehouse has changed? Am I the only one seeing this? or should I contact the support team?

I just signed up to Treehouse yesterday and so far I have been getting credit for everything I have completed. What track are you working on? I'm doing the Front End Development Track right now.

Hi Nafis,

We're not aware of any significant changes on the timing on our end. Can you provide more detail as to the changes you feel you're seeing? This may help us find an answer for you!

Best, Kara

Hey kaly0218,

Actually, it's just that my progress is not getting accounted the same way it used to before. Earlier, my progress would get set after midnight at 12 o'clock ( local time ). That means, let's say I was working on a course, and just after the clock hits 12, my new progress would start getting counted from the next day. But that is not happening these days, rather, a different time schedule is being maintained.

It's a matter of irony though, that I can't figure out the exact hours of this shifting. By the way, I'm taking the Github basics course now, and I'm from Bangladesh.

I'll be happy to know the reason.

Thank you.

Hi Nafis,

We have always updated progress based on Eastern Standard Time in the U.S. We're looking into possibly making it localized in the future, but we do not know if or when this may happen. We did recently have our 'fall back' hour adjusted earlier this month, which sets the time back by one hour, so we're not sure if this is maybe what you're seeing?

Please do let us know if you have any other questions.

Best, Kara

You're right, Kara. I think it's maybe the fallback hour. :sparkles:

Thank you,

Nafis
