Having issues with pointers

I'm working on the exercise for pointers and the first task asks to declare an uninitialized char for "pointy". I typed in :

char pointy[] = "pointy";

and it is telling me that I am wrong, can you tell me what is wrong with my response?

It is asking for a POINTER correct answer should be

char *pointy;
