Having trouble installing vuejs and packages with terminal.

Hello Guys, it's Blessing. I've been challenging myself a lot these past few weeks and wanted to create a web app using Javascript. I've learnt the basics and fundamentals but I'm stuck at one thing. I'm having trouble installing packages like VUEJS & EXPRESS via the NPM(Node Package Manager) in the terminal. It keeps giving me errors and says I'm behind a proxy or there's something wrong with my proxy or network. Is there a way to fix this or are there other methods of installing packages via the terminal? Or are there other ways of installing these packages without the terminal? Help will be gladly appreciated.
