I can't access the style guide page for the hex colors... the site tells me "Bummer! You don't have permission to view that page."

I'm getting the same error as well. I would recommend using the hex code from the video in the meantime (#ff51b46d).
It's probably just a simple permissions error like this question asked just 3 hours before you!
