HTML SVG Basics Introduction to SVG SVGs as Images

Hello I was just wondering??

I was just wondering if you can just get the SVG code from AI when you save the logo. What would that do? Would it spit out a bunch of unnecessary code that you don't really need kind of like photoshop does??

I normally just Save As a SVG file from Adobe - however things might have changed since. It's worth Googling and playing with settings to ensure it is supported well in browsers.
