Hi there,

There are two tasks for this one. First, Please add a new constant to store the maximum number of characters allowed which is 140. Use the proper access level modifiers to make it unchangeable and accessible right off of the class.

That looks like:

public static final int MAX_CHARACTERS = 140;

Add that line just after mText is declared.

Then, Add a new method that returns the remaining characters available, based on the length of what is currently stored in mText.

For that you need to subtract the length of mText from the constant you just defined and return the result:

  public int remainingCharacters(){
    return MAX_CHARACTERS - mText.length();
  }
