Hey there,

to solve this part of the challenge you have to select the anchors inside of the div with the class of footer and you have to nest this rule inside of the rule of the previous task (the anchors that are a direct child of a paragraph). To achieve this you have to use the ampersand like you already did with the hover pseudo class but this time you have to write the selector for the div with the class of footer in front of it. Like so:

/* Write your SCSS code below. */
p {
  a {
    color: red;
  }
  > a {
    color: blue;
    &:hover {
      opacity: 0.5;
    }
    div.footer & {
      color: purple;
    }
  }
}

I hope that helps, if you have further questions feel free to ask! :)

We want to add an exception for <a> tags that are in the <div> with a class of .footer: those links should be purple. Use the post-selector ampersand to achieve this.
