Hi Jeff,

Your post doesn't help us work out what you're trying to do.

Let us have a bit more info and we can go from there.

Basically i cannot find the SDK, i tried to download my phones SDK but i cannot find it on the web or on my computer.

Its for Building a simple android app Testing and Debugging Running the app on a device.

The video only states how to do it on a mac, and he basically tells us to figure it out yourself if you do not have a mac, now im not sure if this is advertisement purposes stating that if you own a mac this will be a lot easier and if you own a windows computer to figure it out on your own but i am very frustrated at this moment. I would like to progress further into my course and me being very new at all this am lost and confused but there is no video showing me step by step instructions on how to get past my complicated task of using my Samsung Note 2(Model number - SGH-I317M) on my ASUS computer. i am unable to use OEM USB Driver because i cannot find Click Browse and locate the USB driver folder.(The Google USB Driver is located in <sdk>\extras\google\usb_driver.)

Please help as I am very frustrated at this moment

Hi Jeff,

So you're trying to get the Android SDK and Android Studio working on a Windows 7 machine, right?

There are no advertisement reasons for using a Mac, although I am typing this on one now! I'd not recommend on 'cos they're horrendously expensive and make life difficult, because they like to, every single damned day. Stick to Windows machines unless you have a real need for a Mac.

Back to your problem ...

Where have you got to:

  1. Got Android Studio running
  2. Written app
  3. Run app in emulator OK
  4. Connected tablet to PC with USB
  5. Tried to run app
  6. Got a "choose device" window
  7. Select your device
  8. Watch your app run on your device
  9. There is no 9
  10. Stop

How far do you get with that lot?

Steve.

Also i have already set my phone to USB Debugging under the Developer options

Have you downloaded the Windows USB drivers?

This link should help you.

Steve.

That might be Google device only, to be honest ...

Have you reset the adb - well worth trying that too, or just restart Studio itself.

Sorry I'm not being concise; this is a local problem to your setup, not generally.

We'll get there.

Let's hope so! Else we can figure it out from there ...
