Help With HTML + CSS Transitions

Hey guys, so I'm looking to code exactly what is featured in this video. I know roughly what needs to be coded, but if someone could give me a little more experienced insight, that would be amazing.

One of the main things that I'm unsure of currently, is how to organize the layers so that the phone + skyline are beneath the div that has a lowered center, as seen in the video.

Thanks so much!

This is an example.

I think you need to look into the z-index css property.

I'm aware of the z-index property. Do you know how I can give a div a V-like appearance as seen in the video? In order to show the phone rise up behind it

I think you can play around with CSS triangles, as described by Chris Coyer.

I looked into it. Would it be something regarding defining top border versus top right, top left, etc? Example code would be greatly appreciated

Thanks! If I have any more questions I'll post them
