Help with jQuery navbar offcanvas

Im trying to make this effect of the sidebar the sidebar effect

And heres what i got.

I want it to be like navigation menu is on the top, and then when a user comes to my site, he will see the sidebar on the desktop or tablet, but the sidebar will be hidden on mobile and will apear form the side sliding to the right when clicked the toggle, and i need that toggle to be in the navigation too.

Please if someone can help me to do it, with explanation.
