12,035 Pointshelp with owl carousel??
i'm trying to use the owl carousel to put a slider on my website. I've downloaded the files off the website but when I look in the file folder most of the files can't be opened.
They have blank white sheet icons next to files I can't open. Does anyone know what the problem is or possibly what I should do.

Courses Plus Student 16,352 PointsHi Troy,
Blank white sheet icons means your OS doesn't know what program to use when opening that file type. You should be able to right click and select a program with which to open it - choose any text editor. I personally use Sublime Text 2, but Notepad++ and even Notepad should work (if you're on Windows).
I downloaded and looked at the Owl Carousel files, and they are readable inside my text editor.
I hope this helps,
Cheers

12,035 PointsThanks for the reply, any chance you know why yours works fine and mine doesn't as I would love to get a solution for it. Is it a massive problem that I'd be better showing an expert

Courses Plus Student 16,352 PointsI thought my solution was pretty good. To troubleshoot this further, I'll need to know a few things

12,035 PointsFirstly I really appreciate your responses..
my operating system is windows 7, I use brackets as a text editor. I've just used your idea and your right it open the file up in my text editor. The icon next to the files now is the brackets logo and they can now be opened. But it just worries me because in the past if I downloaded similar files it would have the css icon next to a css file not blank page.
Do you think its something I should just get on with or look into further.

Courses Plus Student 16,352 PointsI'm glad it's working. The icon issue could be a number of things, but first thing I'd do - and have done a couple times on my machines - is to reset the icon cache database.
Seven Forums explains the problem and how to solve it. I've always used the 2nd option, manually rebuilding the icon cache and it worked for me both times.
This, however, is just the easiest first thing to try. If this doesn't work, then there is an issue somewhere preventing the OS from displaying the correct icon for that file type. Try re-installing Brackets to re-associate file types with their icons. Beyond this, you'll need to find more expert advice.
Best of luck
