119 PointsHelp with unordered list
I have just started the Build a Simple Website, I am in Text Editors and HTML -Images and Lists. I am attempting to do the challenge and I am stuck. It ask for an empty unordered list, but nothing seems to work. When I check my answer it says "Bummer! Make sure to use a ul tag!" I thought that I was. I have tried it with and without list items. Any help would be great!
Thanks!!

Treehouse TeacherHey Sheri,
It looks like you're missing a closing angle bracket on your image element. It should look like this:
<img src="img/cupcake.jpg">

119 PointsYes, Nick When I tried to post with the closing angle brackets it didn't show up. But I have tried the challenge again and I still can't seem to get past this step... So I have pasted below the full code from the challenge step, can you see any other errors that could prevent me from passing this step? It is just asking for an unordered list below the image..
Thanks so much! Sheri

Treehouse TeacherHey Sheri,
So sorry to hear that you're having trouble. You should be able to pass that step with an empty unordered list, like this:
<ul></ul>
However, it sounds like you already tried that. If you post your code here we can help you out. :)

119 PointsThanks so much for the responses!! Sorry for my response time. But I have tried a few different codes... the first was..
<ul>
</ul>
I thought this would work, since it asked for en empty unordered list. That didn't work, so I tried this....
<ul>
<li></li>
<li></li>
</ul>
this still didn't work... So next I tried the same code I used during the video lesson
<ul class="nav">
<li><a href="#">About</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Cupcakes & Prices</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Locations</a></li>
<li class ="last"><a href="#">Contact Us</a></li>
</ul>
Still getting the "Bummer! Make sure to use a ul tag!"

39,199 Points@Sheri - I don't see any code that you posted. Remember to indent each line of your code 4 spaces, so the forum correctly formats it.

119 PointsI was wondering what was happening to it. But I tried to edit my previous post and in this one, it still did not show up for me.
<ul
</ul
both with closures... then
<ul
<li </li
<li </li
</ul
and all had closures when posted

Treehouse TeacherHi Sheri,
It looks like you're missing some angle brackets. Here's what I think you meant to post:
<ul>
</ul>
And the second code block should look like this:
<ul>
<li> </li>
<li> </li>
</ul>
