CSS

Hi all, I'm having trouble getting the twitter icon to appear.

.contact-info li.phone a { background-image: url('../img/phone.png'); }

.contact-info li.mail a { background-image: url('../img/mail.png'); }

.contact-info li.twitter a { background-image: url('../img/twitter.png'); }

I pretty sure the css is correct. I added the twitter image late into the video because I found it at the end of the video lol I was trying to use the twitter wrap img instead.

Oh wow! Finally caught it lol, very small detail, but check your class attribute on the twitter list

Make sure you twitter.png is inside img folder

If you still cant figure it out send me a snapshot of workspace and ill help you

Hi Colton, yes it is in the img folder. What should I snapshot to you?

How does one share their workspace?

There should be like a camera icon in your workspace Click it and it should say Take Snapshot

/************************************ PAGE CONTACT ************************************/

.contact-info { list-style: none; padding: 0; margin: 0; font-size: 0.9em; }

.contact-info a { display: block; min-height: 20px; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 20px 20px; padding: 0 0 0 30px; margin: 0 0 10px; }

.contact-info li.phone a { background-image: url('../img/phone.png'); }

.contact-info li.mail a { background-image: url('../img/mail.png'); }

.contact-info li.twitter a { background-image: url('../img/twitter.png'); }

Take a snapshot then post the link you get

Thanks for the help so far. This is my first time sharing workspaces and asking questions, etc.

Are you a Treehouse Teacher?

No, lol... And not the workspace link, but you know when you click the little eye icon in your workspace it will open a new window with your code rendered? Send me a link to that

Lol there you go

Also since you can see everything, do you know how I can fix the home page's img gallery? The pictures dont make a nice 2 columns, you see?

Let me check it out

If you want two columns then i think youll need to add a css style

#gallery li:nth-child(3n){
  clear: both;
}

Wow great! What is that under?

What do you mean?

Awesome thanks for the 2 column answer!

where is the error for the twitter img?

It's in your html, you had

class"twitter"

you forgot the = sign

"Oh wow! Finally caught it lol, very small detail, but check your class attribute on the twitter list"

  • where is the twitter list you are referencing?

Where you put your class twitter at in the html

OH THERE WAS no "=" thank you so much for the help!

Lol no problem :)
