Python Python Basics (Retired) Shopping List Lists and Strings

Hi i doing my challenge and it ask me to create a variable and list that holds my full name and I keep getting a error

Create a variable named full_name that holds your full name. Make another variable named name_list that holds your full name as a list, split on the spaces. Don't create name_lis tmanually!

greeting_list.py
full_name= ("Roderick Sailes")

name_list= ["Roderick Sailes"]

Hi Roderick,

In order to create your list you will need to use the split() method. By default the split method will split on the spaces so you shouldn't need to add an argument.

ok! Thanks you so much Dan

full_name= "Roderick Sailes"

name_list= list(full_name.split(" "))

i hope that works

Thanks Mark
