Hi, I wrote " transition:flex-grow .5s; " for the challenge in CSS Transitions and Transforms but it doesnt work!

It says I am not correctly transitioning the property.....any suggestion?

style.css
/* nav-item transitions ---------- */

.nav-item {
    flex-grow: 1;
  transition:flex-grow .5s;
}

.nav-item:hover {
    flex-grow: 2;
}

/* nav icon transitions ---------- */

.icon {
  right: -25px;
}

.nav-item:hover .icon {
    right: 12%;
}
index.html

You are very close with this. However you havnt given any space between the colon of your transition statement and the property chosen.

It should looks like this.

.nav-item {
    flex-grow: 1;
  transition: flex-grow .5s;  <--note the space
}

Hope that helps happy coding

The challenge was poorly coded/tested by Treehouse. I also got an error for using a leading 0. As Bellchambers said, use

transition: flex-grow .5s;
