HEY, I may help you with that, you are doing it wrong here:

  <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
        <nav>
      </a>
    </header>

the <nav> tag you added there, you didn't end it. Just left it like that. If you can specify your prob a little bit, then I can explain
