'banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white'.split(";")

['banana split', 'hot fudge', 'cherry', 'malted', 'black and white']

or

sundaes.split(";")

['banana split', 'hot fudge', 'cherry', 'malted', 'black and white']

Instead of writing the values a second time when you declare "sundaes", set the value of sundaes to be the result of calling split on available.
