Python Python Testing First Steps With Testing Create a Doctest

Hi there, I think that my code is right but it doesn't compile? Why? Where do I make a mistake

The code I think is quite simple but I miss something I think.

average.py
def average(num_list):
    """Return the average for a list of numbers

    >>>average([1,2])
    1.5

    """
    return sum(num_list) / len(num_list)

Hey Dimitrios,

You just need to add a space between the prompt and Average. Hope that helps, if not just post back.

Oh thanks, I knew it that was a small detail.

Thanks again!
