JavaScript

hide(); isnt working on Chrome

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Take Evasive Action</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" title="no title" charset="utf-8"> </head> <body> <p class="warning"> <span>It's A Trap!</span> </p> <div class="image"> <img src="img/ackbar.gif" /> </div> <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <script src="js/app.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> </body> </html> ///////////////////////// jQuery(".warning").hide();

I refreshed the page and the warning is still there. HELP?

Hmmm. Did you try to replace "jQuery" with the "$" in your code ? like this: $( ".warning" ).hide();

Also, check to make sure your javascript files are in the correct folder.

One last suggestion - If you look in chrome developer tools in the console, it will tell you where your error is.

Hope this helps!
