Hiding a status bar

At this video we have hided the status bar with code in AppDelegate.swift.

But we also can check box at General -> Deployment info -> Hide status bar.

What’s the difference?

In this case you're doing it programatically, so IMO it's a lot more explicit that you are hiding it on purpose. Remember that in the future it might not be the same programmer who has to deal with the same code so it must be as clean and clear as possible.
