higher hierarchy?

What exactly does he mean by higher hierarchy? My guess is that each view has a level of priority, for example, all the labels, texts, etc. go first and action controls like buttons and anything that requires user interface, goes last (in top of label view)

You can add subviews to views and then more subviews to that subviews and so on, that is the hierarchy
