Hosting Options

Hey, I'm finishing a Magento website for a client and I'm really confused with all the options there are for hosting services. This magento website is a small Community version, with 15 products only and we are not expecting more than 100 concurrent customers. What affordable option do you recomend? I'm evaluating Rackspace, AWS, Hostgator and Nexcess.

When Should they use a dedicated server and a shared service? Thanks for the help!

In terms of which company to go with it is a matter of choice. But you have to make sure the hosting company supports Magento as it has specific system requirements to work properly Check Magento System Requirements. You can try any of the Magento hosting partners. It is mostly about who do you trust and which one you decide to go with.

Now whether to go with a shared or a dedicated server the answer is how much do you need. Not just today, but for the short-term future too. A dedicated server gives you more space, bandwidth and more control over you server end
