Well, when i was a beginner, id spend every day on it watching videos on topic i was doing.

Now that i can user more the documentation , i use it. I watch treehouse courses and then i do my own project and i might go back and see if i missed soemthing or done not the right way .

TBH, i use treehouse forum more than the courses right now, but i do courses as well since i start with them.

Once i get a topic, i like now im doign WP, im getting it above my belt so i can do whatever i want .

So my next step is e-commerce website which Zac did it with WP so i watch it, and then id use documentatin and forum.

I watch videos when i learn the video i watched, you shoudnt really just watch them and follow along.

If id learn faster, or have more time, id probably look more videos in a day.

Hi Rosina,

I am a new student and I'm trying to study everyday for a few hours (2-4h) usually late at night as I have a lot of work in the daytime. but when I am at work (like now), I browse the forums and try to look for new things to learn about, so when I watch the videos here on Treehouse - the topic I will learn about won't be completely new to me.

I am fortunate enough to work in a company where I have 2 PC's at my desk so I can do my job and do my personal things as well.

Oh, well, to add i do also watch the videos at college since i finish the work much faster then others lol so i re-watch the video that i practices at home and then look over it again with subtitles since i cant listen and then i learn more . Infact i solved a bug last time doing it and learned new things :) I allways re-watch it since i had practical night before so watching is good for me.

Thanks for the answers!

How do you track your learning? I wish TreeHouse has something to track learning (hours/days), like a calendar, like this: http://freecodecamp.com/rosinaaa

Well, the only tracking for me right now is the course tracker here on Treehouse. I try to do as much as I can and sometimes more than I can.

If you have any useful tips to share for a newbie on Treehouse, please do :)

Dont do more then you can : p make less than you can and parctice thill u can confidently do what you just watched. if you watch a 24hours marathon, for sure you wont know a lot, if ud would take 12 hours and learn it and do it again, do step by step.

I usually do 2 hours / day watching: CSS videos, WordPress videos for now.

Sometimes I need to learn something for a project, like Sass, Git, using the Console or something specific and I watch that kind of videos.
