Hover animation not working for images that are positioned absolute. Can someone please help?

What I want is for my images under the portfolio section of the website to transition to bigger heights/widths when a user hovers over the image, but for some reason, it doesn't work. I tried using jQuery to do the same thing, but it doesn't help. Can someone point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate it!!!!

Did you fix it since you posted this?

I just took a look using Chrome and the images expand just fine when hovered.
