How can I accomplish this task using Google Maps API?

I want to search for a specific keyword, like supermarket, CA, on google map, and download all the results (coordinates) to my computer.

Any ideas?

I would suggest the places API https://developers.google.com/places/

Or if that doesn't work build a web scraper. A great web scraper tutorial for python is at http://newcoder.io/scrape/

I am unsure of how to do this in another programming language but I am sure there are tutorials.
