How can I get the emulator to work better?

Im curious as to how I can figure out which emulator will run most smoothly on my current computer. I could not use the one from the previous 'Fun Fact app one' as it is just all jumbled up. So I installed a new device, the one ben is currently using in this video, but it runs far too slow on my computer and its delayed.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Hey Will,

Are you using the stock emulator bundled with Android Studio or did you install Genymotion? I find Genymotion to perform better than the stock emulator. Let me know!

Using the stock emulator with HAXM does help, IMHO.
