All hexidecimal colors are made up of three color groups; red, green and blue. Therefore heavily going in favour of one color will give you a bright version of it. For instance, bright green is #00FF00 and blue is #0000FF. Can you guess what red is?

On a similar note, however (and I believe Treehouse mention it in the course) is that no web designer lives without looking up color values, so don't worry about memorising them all!
