What does Hacking a website mean? Do it mean mess up the layout of a website ? or clear all the data?
How to define a website is hackable, is there any process to define it?

14,793 PointsI had a client that had their WordPress website that was "hacked." Essentially they replaced the theme with a simple anchor tag that sent the user to pharmacy drug website that would give visitors malware. Luckily, we were using the theme pretty much out of the box and had the database info backed up because the hack erased all of that from the server.
To answer your question, it can mean a lot of things for different websites. For example, messing up the UI like it did in my case. Or it could mean that it alters your database(s) in a way that makes them unusable. I believe this is done with a MySQL injection.
