how can i raise valueError?

help me please

suggestinator.py 
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"
    if len(product_idea) < 3:        
        raise valueError("thanks in advance!")

Have you tried putting the if before the return - nothing will execute after the return

Dave is correct. The if block must come before the return statement, but there is also a typo.
Python Exceptions are case sensitive valueError is not the same as ValueError. Watch those capitalized letters... You need ValueError.
