9,209 PointsHow difficult is it to use a VPS hosting service?
I am considering a VPS hosting service such as DigitalOcean. I plan on running a half dozen Wordpress sites and a few Ruby applications.
First, is it possible to do something like this from one account/server? Second, I wouldn't say that I'm comfortable with Linux yet. If I install cPanel or an opensource alternative, do I have a good shot at maintaining a VPS or will this likely be over my head?
Thank you all in advance!

94,150 PointsIf you don't have any experience with servers and linux whatsoever, I would recommend starting with a managed server instead of a VPS or dedicated one, and should offer you the same features as a VPS imho. Various WP installations are not a problem for any proper web server, I am just not sure about Ruby, maybe someone else can give you a feedback on that.
