How do i connect mySql database with my swift code?

I am creating an iOS app where users can log in and log out and view protected pages. I understand i need a database to ensure that the user's credentials were entered correctly and to save all the user's data. How do I connect a mySql database with my Swift code? @paradoxed @pasan
