how do i add a getter method

Hi Sondria,

You're so close!! You just want to return the variable color, not the string as that's what color contains. And move the semi-colon too! Don't end the line early.

class GoKart {
  private String color = "red";
  public String getColor(){
    return color;
  }
}

I added some comments in your code. I hope that helps,

Steve.
