How do I find Port number when uploading to an SFTP?

On Beginning website - sharing a website - Stage 9; the assignment is to upload to website via SFTP. Nick, instructor, input 18375 as the port number. Why?

Michele,

For the computers to talk and transfer files via FTP or SFTP, the ports would need to be 'opened'. In the video, Nick entered '18375' as the port number that is 'opened' for him to connect to his web server and he uses SFTP to transfer his .html files etc to the web server and in most cases a shared web hosting host.
