How do I get my hover opacity to pass?

&:hover { opacity: 0.5; }

With Sass it should look like this:

.whatever {
    opacity: 1;
    &:hover {
        opacity: 0.5;
    }
}

If it isn't rendering properly, check to ensure your Sass is enabled

sass --watch .
