How do i include a script conditionally based on which page is selected?

I would like to include a custom gallery in wordpress but only if the page name is gallery. So far i have this, but the conditions do not work in functions.php

function checkPageForGallery(){

if ( is_page('gallery') ) {

require get_template_directory() .'/inc/custom-gallery.php';

}https://teamtreehouse.com/community/q:conditional-include#preview

} add_action('init','checkPageForGallery' );
