You can easily create a free Google analytics account, and than use a free plugin to set it up. I've used both Google Analytics by Yoast and Google Analytics Dashboard for WP and both worked great. Both very easy to set up and configure, both require no additional coding. They offer some slightly different customization settings that is up to you. Google Analytics is by no means the best or only tracker you should use. But it is a very solid and robust solution that is free, and can provide you with a ton on information. It should easily a go-to option, and a great start.
