How do i link css to html?

When writing code how do i add css coding into html, such as background image restrictions.

Chris has you on the right path. If your style sheet is in it's own folder you'll need the folder name in your href. something like this: <link href="css/main.css" rel="stylesheet">. I hope this helps.
