How do I open Workspaces in a new tab, not in a new window?

I want to be able to open the workspaces in a new tab, but every time I launch the workspaces, it opens up a whole new window. I have tried dragging it but to no avail.

if you are navigating from a course video workspace button --- When the modal pops that says "Launch Workspace," right click the "Launch it!" button then select open in new tab. It's automatically set to open as a new window if you only click the button.

if you are navigating from the workspace button in the upper righthand corner --- After clicking on the workspace page, you will be brought to a list of workspaces you have. Right click the name then open up in a new tab. If you just click it without right clicking, it will open up in a new window.
