PHP PHP Arrays and Control Structures PHP Loops For Looping

How do I use the function 'isset' to check if incremented value is equal to key?

I may have missed something in one of the videos, but I do not remember using the 'isset' function so far. Thus, I have no idea how to complete this task.

The task asks me to use the 'isset' function to check if one of the incremented values in my for loop is equal to one of the keys in $facts array. If the incremented value is equal to one of the keys in the array, the value of that key should display after the number.

I've looked through the PHP manual and am still very confused as to how I can get past this task.

It would be great also if anyone could supply some reference material so I can study up on the function.

Thanks!

index.php
<?php
$facts = array(
    57 => ' on Heinz ketchup bottles represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had.',
    2 => ' is the approximate hours a day Giraffes sleeps',
    18 => ' is the average hours a Python sleeps per day',
    10 => ' per cent of the world is left-handed.',
    11 => ' Empire State Buildings, stacked one on top of the other, would be required to measure the Gulf of Mexico at its deepest point.',
    98 => '% of the atoms in your body are replaced every year',
    69 => ' is the largest number of recorded children born to one woman',
);
//add your loop below this line

for ($num = 1; $num <= 100; $num++) {
  echo $num;
}

you will have to use a if statement in the for loop

for($i=1; $i<101; $i++){
  if(isset($facts[$i])){
   echo $i . " $facts[$i]";
  }else{
 echo $i;
  }
}

my concatenate is not right in this example but you should get the point.

Hey!

Many thanks for your help here.

This worked perfectly. It makes sense to me know.

Thanks!
